So loads have you guys have been emailing me your new years resolutions for January's giveaway (which is still open ; just send your craziest news years resolution to email@example.com to be in with a chance of winning a super cute pink playsuit!) and over the last few days I've read a lot of "eating healthier" gone wrong stories. Eating healthier has been on my list of news years resolutions for so many years and the one thing I always have trouble with is the whole porridge for breakfast thing. No offense to porridge fans but I really really hate it... But luckily there is an alternative! Granola!!
You will need:
1) 1 tbsp of oil
2) 3 tbsp of honey
3) 175g porridge oats
4) 1 tsp mixed spices
5) handful of raisins/cranberries
6) handful of nuts (optional)
Melt the oil and the honey in a pan over a low heat.Remove from the heat and add the oats. Mix well then add the mixed spice,the nuts and the raisins/cranberries.Line a baking tin with greaseproof paper and place the mixture in the the tin. Place into the oven and bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes,until golden brown. Serve with fresh fruit and yoghurt. Enjoy!
