March Favourites!

Hey!
I know it's kind of early for a March favourites post but I've kind of been neglecting this blog and I'm gonna be way too busy to do one next week so..... here it is:)
Movie: Okay so the best movie I watched this month was The Hunger Games:Catching Fire. I saw it last year when it came out in the cinemas but my dad brought me back the DVD from London recently and I remembered how much I loved it. If you haven't seen this movie yet then you HAVE to see it. It is one of the best movies I have ever watched (in all my fifteen years, god I'm getting ancient;-) ) And the clothes in it are awesome in far-out, quirky kind of way. WATCH IT!!
Book: The book I'm reading at the moment is Looking For Alaska by John Green.I think the first John Green book I read was An Abundance Of Katherines and I've been hooked ever since. He is honestly one of the best authors out there and his books are indescribable. Looking For Alaska is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read.I literally cannot put into words how amazing it is. Alaska is one of the most compelling characters I have ever seen (well not seen but you get the gist.) Unfortunately I lent my copy out 2 weeks ago and have yet to get it back so.... this isn't my image:)

Lifesaver: Okay so the past month has been pretty busy for me. I'm 15, so I'm currently being subjected to the same torture as hundreds of other 15-16 year olds across Ireland..... The Junior Cert.....:( So as it is I had my mocks this month and my orals and praticals are next week so it's pretty much been all go for me. Because of this, this months "lifesaver" for me is Batiste Dry Shampoo. It works really well but I prefer to put it in at night and leave it in until the next morning. My favourite ones are fresh and blush because they smell really good and I always keep a travel sized one in my bag in case I need it on the go.
Random: So this months random thing I bought is a vanilla reed diffuser from Penneys. I think it cost like €3.50. You just take the stopper off,pop the reeds in and it makes the whole room smell lethal!
Technology: My favourite tech related thing I got this month was a super cute little owl speaker thing. I got this from Vodafone for a 150 cherry points but I think it's about €12.99 if you buy it. It's really cute and it works really well although the battery life is a little short.
Make-up: Okay so technically this is two things but hey, who's counting? The first one is Max-Factor colour adapt foundation. The coverage is amazing and you don't even know you're wearing it. Mine is 40 Creamy Ivory and it's suits my skin tone perfectly. It's not the easiest to apply but it's worth it. I think it cost me about a tenner but I'm not certain. The second thing is something I absolutely swear by, Catrice Mattifying Oil Control Paper. It's not "make-up" per se but it's so good . I use it whenever I do sport. It takes all the shine off my face and I don't have to re-do my make-up. I got mine in Superdrug for €3.50 so it's super affordable too!
Nail Colour: My favourite nail polish this month is Sally Hansen's Insta-Dry in Lightening. The weather's been pretty crap lately so this had brightened up my month:)I got mine in Superdrug for €8.99

Not my picture.
Hair: My favourite hair product this month is the V05 plump it up shampoo and conditioner. I also used V05 smoothly does it heat protect serum before drying or styling my hair. It's really good and it stops your hair from developing split ends.
Music: This month I mainly listened to the chainsmokers : #selfie. It's the catchiest song I've heard in a long time and I literally have not been able to stop singing this. I've been humming it everywhere I go.
Food: We all went through that whole "cake in a cup" phase but to be honest I never really liked it all that much. It just tasted a bit........cakey (Well duh *facepalm*). But my friend gave me the recipe for cookie in a cup at the start of this month and it is delicious. Seriously.Try it.Now.
ngredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Granulated White Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon of firmly packed Dark Brown Sugar
  • 3 Drops of Vanilla Extract
  • Small Pinch of Kosher Salt
  • 1 Egg Yolk (discard the egg white or save for different recipe)
  • Scant ¼ of All Purpose Flour (slightly less than ¼ of a cup)
  • 2 heaping tablespoons of Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
  1. Start by melting your butter in the microwave. Butter should just be melted, not boiling.
  2. Add sugars, vanilla and salt. Stir to combine.
  3. Separate your egg and add the yolk only to your cup. Stir to combine.
  4. Add flour, then stir again. Measure a scant, slightly less than full, ¼ cup of all-purpose flour.
  5. Add the chocolate chips, and give a final stir. Now your mixture will look like cookie dough.
  6. Cook in microwave 40-60 seconds, start checking for doneness at 40 seconds. Mine takes 50 seconds. Do not cook past one minute, just like a regular cookie, this will continue cooking as it cools. If the cookie is dry or cake like, try less time.
  7. Serve warm
